1. What are the system requirements for running GenoPal on...
  1. Windows
    • Windows XP Professional/Home 32-bit platform
    • Windows Vista 32-bit/64-bit platform
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (Free download here).
    • System Memory (RAM): 256Mb
    • Hard Disk: 20Mb free space
    • Display supporting at least 16-bit colors.
  2. Mac
    • OS: Mac OSX 10.3 and higher
    • CPU: G3 500Mhz
    • System Memory (RAM): 256MB
    • Hard Disk: 5MB free space
    • Display: Supporting at least 16-bit colors.
 
2. I've noticed GenoPal v3.0 is out, can I upgrade my v2.5?

All our existing users of GenoPal version 2.5 and below are eligible for a FREE upgrade to GenoPal v3.0.

6. How do I purchase my license of GenoPal?

You have three options to buy GenoPal:

  1. Click here to go to our website shopping cart and purchase by Credit card or Paypal.
  2. If you're running the trial version of GenoPal, restart the software. A splash screen will give you the option to buy online.
  3. If the above options don't work, send us an email to sales@genopal.com. We will assist you with your shopping.
 
7. How do I use GenoPal side-by-side with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator?

GenoPal stays on top of other windows unless minimized. That means that you can always use Adobe's color tool to pick up colors generated in GenoPal. Just select Adobe's eye-dropper tool, hold and drag the cursor from the workspace to GenoPal's generated colors.

 
8. I lost the full-version installer, can I download it again?
 
9. I lost my receipt, how do I retrieve my purchase details?

Click here to retrieve your Serial Number, User Name etc. Please note that you will be redirected to a site outside of GenoPal.

 
10. Why do I get "invalid Serial Number" or Error "-25001" when I insert my registration details right after purchase?

Our apologies, our servers are currently overworked and we hope to fix the problem soon. In the meantime, just wait for 15 minutes and try again — your registration information should be updated on our servers.

 
11. How many times can I activate GenoPal for every license purchased?
  1. Unlimited times, but only on 2 unique machines (PC/Mac)
  2. For activation on more machines, you can purchase additional licenses or revoke unwanted activation on old machines. Just email support@genopal.com if you need any help with these issues.
 
12. How do I transfer/revoke my activation?

Email us at sales@genopal.com with subject "*orderID* - Transfer/Revoke Activation" (ie ST1234567ID: Transfer/Revoke Activation)

 
13. Can I use my registration details across PC & Mac?

Yes, if your serial number starts with GPPRO or GPCLS. If not, please contact us for assistance at support@genopal.

 
14. I get an error message when trying to activate GenoPal. What do I do?

Kindly try reinstalling GenoPal again. If reinstalling does not work, please try the following:

  1. Disconnect your PC from the internet, and insert your serial number into GenoPal as per normal. This shall open up the Manual Activation Wizard.
  2. Run manual activation once, and select option (2) under Activation Option: Activate using a different computer that has web access.
  3. Collect your installation ID, turn off GenoPal and reconnect to the internet. Go to page http://activate.esellerate.net
  4. Enter your installation ID above and submit, and you shall receive an activation key.
  5. Disconnect from internet, and run manual activation again.
  6. Select option (3) under Activation Option: I already have an Activation Key...
  7. Enter the activation key above.
 
15. My computer has no internet connection. What do I do

To activate GenoPal without internet connection, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Install and run GenoPal on your offline computer. When prompted, insert your serial number. If your desktop is not connected to the internet, GenoPal should open up the Manual Activation Wizard.
  2. Run manual activation once by selecting option (2) under Activation Option: 'Activate using a different computer that has web access'.
  3. Collect your installation ID and go to page http://activate.esellerate.net from a computer with internet connect, e.g. your office computer.
  4. Enter your installation ID above and submit, and you shall receive an activation key.
  5. Collect your activation key and return to your offline computer.
  6. Run manual activation again and select option (3) under Activation Option: 'I already have an Activation Key...'
  7. Enter the activation key above.
